Censure

The censure is currently paused: https://www.caut.ca/latest/2021/09/caut-calling-pause-censure-after-u-t-reverses-course-dr-azarova-case

The Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) has censured the University of Toronto due to the circumstances around the cancelled offer of employment of Dr. Valentina Azarova at the Faculty of Law.

The censure affects events that are held at the University of Toronto and were advertised after April 22, 2021, when the censure was passed.

Despite that and in abundance of caution, the AMP 2021 Organizing Committee nevertheless made a decision to respect the censure and thus transfer the organization of AMP 2021 formally to York University in its entirety. We feel that this change adheres to all CAUT policies regarding the censure of the University of Toronto.
